Between 2012 and 2017, she played as Marnie Micheals in HBO's comedy drama show Girls. Her character was nominated to win the Critics' Choice Award. Rose Armitage's role as a character in Get Out, a horror film released in 2017, was her first big break. It earned her nominations for the MTV Movie Awards as well as the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
