Katherine Heigl reveals that she grew up in a white bubble and how this experience impacted how she cared for her adoptive multiracial children. She revealed in an interview recently that, in terms of the color of her skin, it doesn't really matter. After speaking with her sister who is adopted in South Korea she realized just the way society views the children. I inquired of Meg whether, while going out with her parents she received a certain treatment but when she was on her own, she received a different treatment. She said, 'Oh, yes, every time!' Heigl told Parents, "That made me realise that I was so naive." Heigl said she got frustrated and thought it was important to focus the anger she felt on the adopted children she has. Heigl is with Josh Kelley for 13 years and has a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8 who is Black and was adopted in 2012.
