Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to get a flawless score of 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, a Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci at the age of six. The year 1969 was the first time she took part in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she took home three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she became an overall junior champion. At her first competitive event at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals, as well with one silver. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman in history to complete a backward double salto as dismounting from the uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens she was performing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer during her teenage years. Her career began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. Ice Capades showcased performances of skating on ice by actors.

The Brockport two-sport player was a part of both the lacrosse and female soccer squads. Norman excelled as a soccer player for Brockport in which she played in the defensive part of the game. In her role as an defender, Norman was a master at blocking the ball. She also made smart decision-making when it came necessary to analyze the offensive capabilities of an opponent. She will bring many great qualities to Lady Lakers in 2012. A combination of her capacity to defend the basketball at an elite-level and her positive mindset gives her a huge advantage when she begins her first season with Finger Lakes. Alexia Fast, born 12 September 1993 in Canada, is an actress.
