Leigh, discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a agreement with MGM to begin her career as a film actor in the latter half of the 40s. Through the years that followed she was in a variety of famous films, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
